Lift valves; seats.- The spindle D screws into a socket in the casing, and is of large diameter so that the lift valve E may be introduced through the screwed socket. A -reversible seat F<1> is screwed into position. When the spindle D and the valve E are removed, a back valve E<1> closes on to the underside of the seating. Normally it is held off by an extension of the spindle E.
