Abstract
5032. Talbot, W. E. March 2. Seats.-The seat of a valve h, Fig. 1, forms part of a double-ended nipple k which can be screwed out when it is necessary to renew the seating surface. When the one end cannot be turned any more, the nipple can be reversed. The nipple may be formed without the reserve end b. In that case the bore is threaded to receive the usual pipe connexion. Fig. 3 shows a similar seating n as part of a flanged valve.
