Abstract

9814. Smith, A. April 26. Inflators, carrying and securing. -Relates to clip fittings for r attaching inflators to cycles and the like, of the kind in which the inflator is held between two pegs, one of which is stationary and the other movable against the action of a spring, and consists in means for locking the movable peg in position by means of a removable key. The movable peg c is mounted in a socket f which is extended and internally screw-threaded at f<2>, a screwthreaded plug g being fitted in the extension. By means of the key h, the plug can be screwed into the socket so as to abut against the head c' of the peg c, thereby locking the peg in position and preventing the removal of the inflator. In a modification, the socket f<2> and plug g are carried on an additional clip mounted on the frame tube.
