[Addition to 19,224/07.] Mariners' compasses. - Reduced cards in mariners' compasses, as described in the parent Specification, are made with an inclined upturned rim f graduated on both sides, and the mirror r, inside the pawl by means of which the card is read, is adjustable on an horizontal axis. A glass plate c is fitted in the corrugated bottom b so that the card can be illuminated from below, and a viscous liquid is contained in an annular compartment u around the bottom of the bowl.
