841,336. Pendulum type levels. YOUNG, S. G. May 22, 1958, No. 16505/58. Class 97(2) A level comprises a container, substantially filled with liquid and a non-attached pointer which is immersed in the liquid and is adapted to co-operate with a graduated scale and is also biased to assume a vertical position. The level shown consists of a transparent, liquid filled housing 1 the base of which is formed as an inverted cone having at its apex a partial spherical recess 3 in which rests the spherical projection 8 on a weighted pointer 5, which includes an air chamber 7. As the level is tilted the upper end of the pointer moves across a scale 4, thereby indicating the angle of tilt.
