Spring wheels with sectional outer guided members. - An india-rubber tyre P is guided between side plates S secured to the rim and supported by hollow pistons H sliding in cylinders.D fitted in the rim and containing helical springs. Each cylinder is formed with a flange resting upon the felloe or its iron band, and with a boss E through which passes a rod K secured to the piston. A nut serves to adjust the springs. Bridge-plates with ends adjacent and resting on the enlarged heads I of the cylinders may be placed underneath the tyre; if they are not used, the heads I are extended and curved.
