4758. Coleman, C. Feb. 26. Perambulators.-In baby carriages of the kind in which one child can recline while another remains seated, the seat and seat-back at one end of the main body are secured to independent side-pieces so that they may be turned upwards to form a seat facing the attendant or turned down as shown inside the end panel p of the main body. The seat a has lateral pins b working in slotted metal quadrants c on the sides of the main body, the slots terminating in recesses d in which the pins b rest when the seat is raised. The seat-back, which forms the seat-bottom when the seat a is raised, may be fixed to the top of the carriage by screws, springs &c. A folding footboard e is provided.
