3098. Richards, J. A. Feb. 9. Clip brackets for curtain-rods, cornice-poles, &c. are made by riveting together two bent sheet-metal blanks b, which may be attached to a fixing-plate a as shown in Fig. 2, or may be formed with bent parts a' serving as fixing-plates, as in Figs. 7 and 10. The outer ends of the clips are curved outwards to facilitate the introduction of the rod, and the part of the rod entering the bracket may be formed with a neck or groove to prevent endways movement in the bracket.
