Rotary splashing-apparatus. - Comprises a construction of a rotary sprinkler for distributing sewage and like liquids, of the type in which the rotary arms carry distributing- channels and splash-plates. The feed-pipe B is connected with the central stand-pipe A at its base, and on the top of it is pivotally mounted the framework which carries the distributors E This framework comprises a number of radiating beams d, with braces and supporting-rods d<2>, d<3>, d<4>, the whole weight being carried by the disk C. Right and left handed screws e<1> engage a collar E<1> on the pipe A for adjusting the troughs H to an horizontal position. The troughs H, which are carried by the radiating arms, are fed from an annular chamber F, which is fed by arms G from the main pipe A. Each trough is notched and provided with lips h<1> at intervals along its length, and under each lip is placed a distributor comprising a central channel e, flanges e<2>, arched plates e<3>, and overlapping plates e<4>, the liquid flowing over the edge of any one plate falling on to the centre of the plate beneath and dividing into two streams. The distributors are arranged in staggered formation on the frame.
