Incandescent vapour burners; vaporizing - a p p a - ratus.-In an inverted incandescent vapour burner, the vaporizer consists of an L - shaped t u b e a<1>, heated partly by the burnt gases and partly by heat conducted from the hot burner mouth by a rod a<3>. The cast-iron mixing-tube carries a reflector f which prevents access of burnt gases to the air inlets. The hole in the reflector through which the vaporizer tube passes is large enough to allow some of the hot gases to pass through to heat the vertical limb of the vaporizer. A grating e is provided on the burner mouth.
