Tyres, elastic other than pneumatic ; felloes or rims.-Metal blade or like springs 3 are embedded in the base of a rubber or like elastic tyre 1 which is preferably provided with a fabric backing 8. The springs 3, which take under the rim flanges, have feet 14 bearing on the rim or extending radially through the felloe to receive locking nuts. The rim has detachable side flanges 6 secured by transverse bolts engaging tapped sockets sunk in the felloe 7. The tyre and rim may be further secured to the felloe by radial bolts or rivets 18. In a modification for securing a single tyre to a wheel felloe, the sockets to receive the through bolts are formed on segmental brackets which engage one of the rim flanges. In a further modification, separate bolts are used for each side flange, the bolts engaging tapped sleeves arranged transversely in the felloe.
