Spring wheels.-Inner and outer wooden rims, one or both of which may be surrounded by shrunk-on metal bands, are separated by solid or inflatable india-rubber cushions and connected at the sides by flat suspension rings of india-rubber. In the form shown in Fig. 4, an inflatable cushion C is interposed, and the wooden rims are recessed to receive the canvas-strengthened edges of the rings D which are secured by metal rings E and bolts G. In the form shown in Fig. 5 the solid cushion B is integral with the rings D. The inner attaching-rings E overlap the outer rim. The solid cushion may consist of perforated blocks.
