Seltzogenes.-The tube c which separates the upper and lower globes of a seltzogeneisremovable in order to render the apparatus applicable for the making of aerated beverages by introducing compressed gas through the spout. The removal of the tub e c prevents liquid from becoming confined in the upper globe so as to be unavailable for consumption. To prevent a violent rush of gas during charging, and to obtain a steady discharge of the aerated liquid, the cup d' at the upper end of the discharge pipe d is fitted with an horizontal partition d' with a small central opening d<5>. The cup d' and tube dare formed separate from the head e, which is screwed on to a ring e' and presses against a washer d<6> on the outside of the cup d<1>.
