945,906. Dispensing liquids. GASKELL & CHAMBERS NON-DRIP MEASURES Ltd. Oct. 11, 1962 [Oct. 23, 1961], No. 37875/61. Heading A4T. In an apparatus for dispensing fruit squashes and similar liquids containing solid particles in suspension of the type in which the liquid in a storage container C with a metal flow cooled by a refrigerating unit is continually circulated by a pump through a verticallydisposed stand pipe S to impinge on the underside of the lid or an equivalent member and then cascade down the inside walls of the container the stand pipe structure comprises a vertical pipe 1 secured with an adaptor 2 having four equally spaced radial passages 3 of constant diameter opening into a central counterbore 4 of larger bore than pipe 1, the transition from the bore of a stem 5 to counterbore 4 being by way of a curved wall 6. It is stated that this construction prevents the outlets being choked by solid particles. The upper end of pipe 1 has a flared portion 1a and rim 1b causing the liquid to be discharged in a part radial direction and impinge on the lid more smoothly.
