Abstract

13,991. Seton, G. R. July 1. Beer &c., raising and drawing-off.-A fitting for dispensing liquors supplied under pressure comprises a glass tube through which the liquor can be seen before reaching the tap. A head 2 carrying the tap or taps 3 is attached to a ring 1 by side bars 4, and the glass tube is held in position between the head and ring by a nut 8 screwing into the ring. The flange 9 of the ring 1 fits over the base 11, the two being held together by a screwedon union-ring 10. The liquor under pressure is supplied through the opening 12. Packing-rings 6, 7 are fitted. The fitting is easily taken to pieces for cleansing purposes. In a modification the nut 8 is dispensed with, and the glass tube rests on the base 11, a packing-ring being interposed. The head 2 and ring 1 may be separate and secured by screwing to the glass tube. The head and ring may be connected to form a tube provided with holes through which the glass tube can be seen, or the holes may be simply glazed.
