Abstract
2940. Schwarz, J. Feb. 10. Fruit, pressing.-A fruit press comprises a box a which is provided with a hinged hopper band contains a rotating friction roller d partly surrounded by a tin plate e. The fruit, partly reduced by the roller d, passes through an opening f in the plate e on to an endless moving sieve cloth k mounted on removable rollers h, i. The fruit is carried by the band k between rotary pressure rollers m, m<1>, and the spent material is removed from the chamber by a scraper p, while the juice drops through the band k into channels q which convey it to an outlet r. The top roller m<1> can be removed through the slots o in the sides of the chamber after the sliding cover s has been removed.
