Abstract

830. K÷nig, A. Jan. 14. Telemeters. - In monocular or binocular telemeters employing two telescopes, the measuring- mark of at least one object image is the real optical image in the object image field of a mark, the said image being projected from the direction of the object through all the optical system that takes part in the formation of the object image. As shown in Fig. 1, one measuring system k<1> is a physical mark, but the other k<2> is the image of a mark m illuminated bv a lamp m‹, this image being formed after transmission of the light through a small reflecting-prism n, prism g, and lenses h, i. The physical mark k<1> itself may be arranged to give an image k' in the other object field, or a single collimator may be arranged to give two image marks. In the modification shown in Fig. 4, a double collimator l<1>, l<2> is used, the real mark system m<1>, m<2> on one lens being projected through the other to form image marks z', z<2> as before.
