Abstract
483. Zeiss, C., [Firm of]. Feb. 12, 1908, [Convention date]. Telescope systems. - A supplementary binocular attachment for use with microscopes, telescopes, optical surgical instruments, &c. is made up of two telescope systems, one for each partial pencil, to maintain the size of the objective field of view. In the modification illustrated in Fig. 1, the pencil of rays from the monocular is divided into two by partial reflection in, and partial transmission through, a Swan cube a; lenses b, d form the telescope systems, and each eyepiece i<2>, h<2> is stopped down so that a stereoscopic view is given. Fig. 2 shows a form in which prisms k, l divide the pencil and lenses m, o, n form the images, which in this case are also stereoscopic. An inter-ocular adjustment is provided in both cases.
