Abstract

126,837. Taylor, A., and Taylor, H. D. June 11, 1918. Lenses.-An eyepiece for telescopes or microscopes comprises two achromatized compound eye lenses G, H either or both of such lenses, or at least the one more remote from the eye being triple in the sense of being composed of a double convex crown lens of comparatively low refractive index cemented between two meniscus negative lenses of actually and comparatively very-high refractive index, and both being used either with or without a field lens F according to whether the angular field required is larger or smaller. Specifications 125,430 and 127,058 are referred to as describing a triple lens similar to G above. Optical data of construction are given in the Specification.
