Abstract

125,430. Taylor, A., and Taylor, H. D. July 19, 1916. Lenses .-In eyepieces consisting of a field-lens and an eye-lens, the eye-lens consists of a doubleconvex crown lens cemented between two meniscus flint lenses of substantially equal power. The combined focal length of the meniscus lenses may be about 1º times the focal length of the crown lens, and the radius of the surface of the crown lens next to the eye is preferably about 1<7/8> times that of the other surface; the refractive index of the crown lens is about 1.514 and the " nu-value " 54.5.
