Chains, adjusting tension of; wheels readily detachable. -In the type of chain adjustment and driving-wheel attachment that is constructed with open jaws to allow of the removal of the wheel without affecting the adjuster, a block c formed with jaws h slides in the slotted end of the chain stay and is adjusted by a screw f ; a plate e, forming the washer of a locking- nut d, acts as a dust-proof cover over the slot, the block, and the screw. The wheel axle x passing through a long washer j is secured within the jaws h by a locking-nut, a peg k upon the washer being engaged with the other slot and secured by a nut. The positions of the wheel axle and peg k may be reversed.
