Abstract

64. Randolph, T. H., and Wilkinson Sword Co. Jan. 1. Razors, safety. The handle of a safety razor comprising a thin double-edged flexible blade held flat upon a support is attached to the support in such a manner so as to be capable of being fixed at different angles convenient for using either edge of the blade. The blade support A, Fig. 3, is provided with pins A' at the ends and pins A<3> one at each side of the centre. The latter pins have slots A<3> on their inner faces which are engaged by cam faces on a rotating catch E on the clamping- plate D. The blade C and the clamping-plate have recesses at the ends to engage the pins A<1> and holes through which the pins A<2> pass. Guard-rollers B are provided on the support. A rod G, Fig. 2, screw-threaded at its lower end G, is pivoted to lugs F at the back of the support and is surrounded by a handle H, at the lower end of which is a nut J, engaging the screw G<1>, and at the upper end projections shaped to engage the lugs F, to lock the bandle in position. Shoulders F<1> are provided to limit the position of the handle.
