Abstract

7066. Durham, T. C. March 24. Razors, safety. A safety guard is arranged to lie beyond and out of contact with the blade edge and to swing freely across the edge so that the blade may be stropped in the usual manner. The guard 5, Fig. 1, is pivoted at 3, 4 to the ordinary razor blade 1, the movement being limited by the square end 6 of the guard, which comes into contact with the blade when the guard is swung to either side. In a razor constructed as described in Specification 12,730/07, in which a thin detachable perforated blade 13, Fig. 4, is held between a support 9 and clamping-plate 12, the guard 14 is pivoted to lugs 15 and has one or more stops 18, which contact with the lower ends of the lugs 15.
