Abstract

28,485. Johnson, G. W., [Chemische Fabrik Griesheim-Elektron]. Dec. 13. Blowpipe burners; burners, mounting.-In severing metals by means of a flame assisted by a jet of oxygen, two nozzles a, b converge towards each other at an acute angle; through the nozzle a issues a mixture of gas and oxygen, a jet of oxygen coming from the nozzle b. The oxygen nozzle is axially adjustable to suit the size of flame in use. The apparatus is provided with rollers f to assist setting on the work, the axis e of the rollers lying on the bisector of the angle between the two nozzles.
