Abstract

28,467. Brooks, R. A. Dec. 13. - Spray-producers. - Apparatus for use principally in connexion-with baths for delivering either a solid jet of perfumed, d i s i nfected, or saline spray comprises a casing B communicating with a chamber A by means of a cock D, Figs. 1 and 5. The cock, operated by a rod, allows the flow of water from the casing A to the nozzle b<1> or to the chamber B, which is surrounded by, and in communication with a perforated cylinder E. The cylinder E is divided into compartments, each capable of being placed in communication with the chamber B, as shown in Fig. 2. The separate compartments may contain different compounds for treating the. water, such as disinfectant, perfumery, sea-salt, or medicated ingredients. Fig. 10 shows a modification, and a method of connecting the apparatus to an ordinary bath or water-service tap by the collar G<1> and screws g<3>. The spray tube B<2> is slotted and may contain the compound for giving the spray its perfumed, medicated, &c. nature. The cock is rotated by turning the part F<1>.
