26,671. Smith, G. A. Nov. 24. Kinematographs.-To obtain pictures in natural colours, successive pictures on the film are first obtained by photographing alternately through two colour filters, as red and green. On projection, similar filters are employed, with tce result that two differently coloured series are thrown upon the screen. The rate of projection is made about twice that ordinarily employed so that successive pictures in each series, that is alternate pictures on the film, fuse visually to give continuity of vision for each of the two series. Pictures in natural colours are thus said to be produced.
