126,220. Shaw, J. Aug. 14, 1918. Kinematograph apparatus.-In taking kinematograph pictures for projection in colours, colour screens are used in which each alternate colour is red or of a red shade. Each group of six negatives, Fig. 1, is taken through a synchronized colour screen S, alternate pictures being taken through a red screen and the remaining ones through green, yellow, and blue. The film consisting of such groups may be projected through a screen S' of two colours reel and green affecting alternate pictures as indicated by the arrows or a screen S<2>, Fig. 2, having red and orange-red filters R<1>, R<2>, and yellow-green and blue-green G<1>, G<2> may be used, alternate groups of six pictures being affected by the filters as shown by the arrow lines ; The gelatine of the film may be tinted red and green alternately or with the shades of the screen S<2> in succession and projected without ,screens, Fig. 3.
