Abstract

25,630. Boudreaux, L., and Verdet, L. Nov. 18, 1905, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Gas and like engines.- Pairs of valves; such as u, v of similar function, are worked through one rod p and one lever by one cam g, all the cams being on the same shaft c. The invention is described in connexion with a fourcylinder engine, two cylinders being cast together co-axially. Two pairs of admission valves are situated on one side of the engine, and two pairs of exhaust valves on the other side, the levers i, j being mounted as shown in Fig. 3. The shaft c is at right-angles to the driving-shaft a and is driven by screw gearing f.
