Cooking - ranges; draught, r e g u l at i n g ; ash-pans.- Various parts of a kitchen range are made detachable so that they may be easily removed for cleaning or for rerenewal. The oven d, Figs. 2 and 5, is removable and is fitted so as to leave a flue space around it except at the front. It is supported upon projections e on the frame a of the range, and is provided with a flange at the front fitting into a recess in the frame a and is secured by bolts. The grate bottom j rests in a frame x<1> fitting on the edges of the back and sides of the ash-pit. At the back of the grate and resting on the frame x' is arranged a slab k, having an opening k<2> leading to a flue under a boiler or to the chimney and an opening k leading to a curved flue b, which is fitted beneath the oven and is supported by brackets on the frame a and communicates with the space around the oven by an opening b<1>. An horizontal baffle g and two vertical baffles f are fitted at the top of the oven. The grate front is carried by a frame which is secured to the main frame by bolts. The front of the ash-pan is continued upwards so as to form a shoot for ashes &c., and carries a pivoted draughtregulating flap q, engaging notches in a piece q<2>, Fig. 6, sccured to the sides of the ash-pit. A pivoted damper v, operated by a handle v<1> supported by a removable plate v<2>, is fitted to the flue.
