Abstract
14,066. Dodge, J. L. June 19. Wrenches.-Relates to a stretching-tool for use in attaching elastic bed bottoms to bedsteads. Holes e', Fig. 3, in one of the end bars e are placed over the book-shaped upper ends d<1> of brackets d screwed to the side rails near the bed head. The stretching-tool f, Fig. 4, is then inserted successively in the holes e<2> in the other bar e, and its offset f<1> thrust in the holes d<2> in the brackets near the foot of the bed, and the tool forced from the dotted to the full line position shown to the right of Fig. 1. The bed bottom is thus stretched and drawn so that the second bar e can be secured upon the bottom brackets.
