Abstract

12,735. Fullagar, H. F. May 31. Hinged valves; casings.-An arrangement for varying a mixture of hot and cold air supplied to a turbo-compressor is shown in Fig. 1. A rod i operated by hand, or automatically, actuates simultaneously two disk valves f, e, the valve f controlling the hot air and the valve e the co!d air, the air being mixed in the inlet pipe b of the compressor. The casing d<2> of the cold-air valve has a spherical shape to allow the valve to have a long period of closure, the hot-air valve at the same time being moved to vary the admission of hot air.
