Abstract
9564. Philippoteaux, A. April 24. Blowing and moulding bottles. -Relates to a modification of the machine described in Specification No. 23,552, A.D. 1904, for the purpose of adapting it to the manufacture of long-necked bottles. The ring mould 4 is capable of sliding vertically in the parison mould 5. The molten metal is placed in the parison mould while the parts are in the position shown. The ring mould 4 is then lowered so as to draw the neck out to the required length. The parison-mould halves are then drawn aside, and the blowing-mould 9 closed round the parison. The blowing is then completed in the usual way. The device may be applied to bottle-blowing machines of the turn-over type.
