School desks and seats.-In a school desk which can be turned over on its side, the side a is in two parts hinged together at c. The foot rails f are connected to the side a by a plate e, and rest at the other end on the foot b<1>. The feet b of the desks are formed with a grooved' in which a rod may be inserted to keep the desks in a straight row. Desks of old design may be altered by cutting through the side support and hinging the two parts together.
