[Published under Section 91 of the Act.] Tables convertible into desks.-In a convertible desk and table having rising and falling pigeonholes, the table - top, desk - slope, and pigeonholes are connected together by links e, k joined by a pivot i guided in fixed grooves o. These grooves are bent backwards at the top, so that. when the top c is raised about the hinges b, the slope n is first pushed outwards, then tilted at the back by the action of the links k on abutments p, and finally pulled backwards into locking engagement with a fixed abutment. The free ends f of the links e engage grooves g in the rising and falling pigeonhole cabinet h. The top c is adapted to receive on its upper surface the necessary implements for a lady's work-table, and on its under surface a toilet or like mirror. Drawers are inserted in the space r, and documents, books, &c. may be stored between the top c and slope n. Means may be provided to lock the top in each of its positions.
