Abstract

5606. Schwarz, K. G., and Schwarz, G. K., [trading as Wiclerer & Co., N.]. July 5, 1905, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Bevelling glass plates. In order that the operator may view in close proximity the face being ground, the glass plate g is mounted on a bracket f adjustably screwed to supports d, e carried by a platform c, which is reci procated on rails a in a direction slightly inclined to the plane normal to the axis of the conical grinder. The platform is arranged close to the ground so that the operator may stand on it. The glass is pressed against the grinder by a roller k operated by weights o at the other end of a lever n, which is pivoted at m to a rod t which can turn about a pivot l above the grinder. The arm p on which the rod t is adjustably mounted is balanced by a weight r.
