Abstract
5 1 7 . Hodgson, J. June 26, 1905, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Clinometers.-A. weight H, carrying two semicircular scales, is pivoted on jewelled bearings inside the casing 0 which is attached to a straightedge. The lever may be adjusted by means of the screw J passing through the weight, and a clamping-screw I is also provided. A sight hole E is formed on the top of the casing, and pointers K are fixed in suitable positions on the casing and scales.
