Abstract

11,672. Sparks, W. A. June 3. Ammunition receptacles.-Consists of a cartridgecontaining tube 6, which can be attached to a gun or placed within the stock and from which cartridges can be withdrawn singly. The cartridges are pressed rearwards by a spring plunger and are retained by the bent part 11 of a rod 9 which can be turned against the action of the spring 12 by means of the finger-piece 10 so as to disengage the part 11 from the rear-most cartridge, the other cartridges being then retained by the forward bent part 14 passing through the hole 15 into the tube. Another form of catch, shown in Fig. 5, consists of the pivoted spring-controlled lever 19 with bent ends 21, 22.
