Pressure-regulating valves; lift valves.-In a pressure-regulating valve, a lift valve of special construction is attached to a spring-controlled diaphragm which is actuated by the outlet pressure. The valve consists of an enlargement c, Fig. 5, to which is screwed a flexible disk d and a metal disk e, which is perforated to allow the inlet pressure to act on the flexible disk, thereby obtaining a good seating. A modification is shown in Fig. 2, the reference letters in Figs. 2 and 5 denoting similar parts.
