Abstract

25,882. Jacobsen, A. Nov. 28. Alloys.-Relates to a modification of the alloy described in Specification No. 6945, A.D. 1904, which alloy consists of 54 per cent. copper, 40 per cent. zinc, and 6 per cent. of an atomic-proportion alloy corresponding to the formula Cu2Fe2AlNi. The modification consists in the introduction of ferro-manganese, containing up to about 80 per cent. of manganese, in place of part of the copper. The highest permissible addition of ferro-manganese is 15 per cent. The addition of zinc and of the atomic-proportion alloy is unchanged.
