Air, drawing-off, methods of; forced ventilation; shafts.-In a system for ventilating refrigerators, breweries, &c., air is drawn off by pipes into chambers, where it forms a protective layer before leaving the building. The air passes through adjustable outlets 12 into the pipe 11, through pipes 14, 15, and a pressure regulator 16 into an exhauster 17, and thence by a pipe 18 into an air space 19 atove the ceiling 20. It then passes through an outlet 23 into the chamber 22, and finally leaves the building through an opening 24. The air may pass directly from the pipe 18 into the chamber 22 by an outlet 25.
