A spraying-pipe a connected with the water - supply pipe by means of a hose or pipe r is provided at the end and sides with openings n. The pipe a is enclosed in a tapered vessel b, which is filled with sand through the opening o, and is connected by means of a sleeve m with the pipe to be cleaned, so that the stream of water will carry the sand with it and force it through the beer-supply pipe. The quantity of sand issuing from the vessel is regulated by adjusting the pipe a longitudinally. On the stuffing-box s, a screw sleeve c is arranged to screw into the socket e on the receptacle b to allow the pipe r to be moved longitudinally without rotating.
