Conduits ; junction boxes.-Tubes for electric conductors are coupled together or to a junction box by a compressible sleeve having a cam outer surface, the sleeve being acted upon by a nut having an internal cam surface. Figs. 2 and 3 show two tubes 1, 2, a split sleeve 3 having cams 6 on its outer surface, and a nut 4 having internal cams 7. On turning the sleeve and cam with relation to one another, the sleeve is either compressed or released. Fig. 4 shows two nuts 11,12 having internal cams, and two series of external cams 8, 9 on the compressible sleeve, the cams facing in opposite directions. A central ridge 10 may be provided. In Fig. 5, two split bushes 13, 14 are engaged by a single nut 17, cam surfaces being provided as before. In Fig. 6, the tube 20 is connected, to a wall or case of an outlet box 21, by a nut 22 which compresses the split sleeve forming an extension of the bushing 23. The latter has a rounded nose 24, and a web or cutting-edge 25, which wedges against the wall to form a good contact.
