Abstract

24,303. Hansson, H. F. March 5, [date applied for under Patents Act, A.D. 1901]. Pontoons.-A floating dock is formed of three sections or pontoons, comprising a long central section and two small end ones. The end pontoons are constructed so as jast to take the weight of the central section for the purpose of docking it, and the end sections may also be docked by the central one. Fig. 1 shows a view of the dock, the central portion 1 having vertical sides 4 with overhanging ends 5. The two end sections 2 are bolted to these ends and are provided with side walls 7, which give greater stability to the dock and serve as chambers for the pumping apparatus.
