The rim b tapers inwardly, and the edges c, d are turned outwardly and inwardly. The disc e is kept in position by the ring f, fastened by an adhesive to the disc and to the edge c. Where a stiffened rim is not essential, a dished disc with a flanged rim g, Fig. 4, is used.
