Bottles for enclosing poisons and other dangerous liquids, disinfectants, and the like, are made of the distinctive shape shown in Figs. 2 and 4, so that they will lie only upon one side, and the contents will not escape while in this position, should the cork be removed. The sides b and top c are made slightly convex oatwards, and the end is curved so that the bottle will not stand upright. The neck e is formed parallel to the flat base or side a of the bottle. In a modification, useful for dispensing, the neck is formed at right-angles to the base, but it may also be inclined. In a further modifica- tion, the sides of the bottle may be concave, so that, when several are lying close together, any one may be withdrawn by the hand without dis- placing the others ; the top of the bottle is also made flat. In both constructions, a groove or indentation f is formed at the bottom of the neck, to form a partition or loop g, to act as a trap to prevent the escape of the liquid. The surface of the bottle may be prepared to indicate the nature of the contents.
