Abstract

23,307. Sager, J. H., and Green, G. D. Nov. 18. Frames; forks.-Relates to anti-vibration arrangements for bicycles and like vehicles. The bottom bracket B is pivoted by ears b and a pin b<1> to the front part of the frame, and is rigidly connected to the forks C. The back-stays D, which are pivoted to the forks C and are secured parallel to each other by a bridge D<1>, are connected to the seat lug by a spring arrangement comprising, as shown in Fig. 2, blocks F carried by arms G rotatably and adjustably secured by a screw g within a socket e formed on the lug E. The blocks F slide in the stays D, reduced portions of the arms G sliding in slots d' formed in the stays. They are supported by long springs H secured by cross-pins d<3>, Fig. 1, in the stays. The stays D are closed by caps D', which are padded at d<2> to prevent shock.
