Lift valves; seats; repairing, facilitating. - A stop valve has a readilyremovable cageshaped seat b, which is secured by a cap g ; or the cap and seat may be integral. To prevent leakage past the spindle, a collar q, which secures the spindle and valve, fits against the underside of the gland j. The valve h is reversible, and has a groove 0 for packing. The conical upper face of the valve may be adapted to a seat on the upper cap to prevent leakage.
