Abstract
16,390. Jones, W. J. Aug. 15. AÙrating liquids.- The carbonation is effected in a vessel 5, to which carbonic acid is supplied through a pipe 14 and perforated coil 13, and water is supplied in the form of spray through the pipe 16 and perforated coil 16<a>. In the vessel 5 is a loose diaphragm 9, on which is mounted a chamber 10 into which enter pipes 15 and 12, the former of which lies directly above the coil 13, and the latter of which serves as the draw-off pipe for the aerated liquid. C is a small vent in the chamber 10. The effect of this arrangement is to give a final and complete aeration to the liquid in the chamber 10 at the time of drawing-off the liquid.
