12,274. Rosenblum, S., Rideal, S., and Commercial Ozone Syndicate. May 18. Moving-beater apparatus.-In a process for making hydrogen peroxide by the action of ozone on turpentine or an allied body in the presence of water, a mixing-vessel is used, consisting of a closed vessel B, charged through a tube B<2> with a mixture of the turpentine &c. and water, which is thoroughly mixed by the duplex stirring-arms C', C<2>, the former of which are carried on a tubular shaft C<3>, while the latter are carried directly on the central shaft C<4>. They are driven in opposite directions by the bevel gearing C<5>, C<6>, C<7> and shaft C<8>. Beneath the stirrers is a perforated pipe B<4> through which ozone, free from moisture or carbonic acid is forced.
