The outlet D is surrounded by a flange H which forms a socket to receive the flange K on the trap J. A recessed ring K<1>, fitting the flange K, is secured by bolts. In modifications, the bath is fitted with a spigot which enters a socket on the trap as shown in Fig. 7. The packing is compressed by a flanged ring J<3> bolted to the socket of the trap. The ring J<3> may screw upon the spigot, or upon the outside of the socket.
